Environment

In this devlog entry, I share the 3D elements developed for the game scenario. Each asset was designed with a clear intention: to set the scene, to structure or to bring interactivity to the environment. I classified them according to their purpose in three main groups: decorative, structural and functional/interactive.

Decorative Elements

Elements that visually enrich the scenery and help build the setting:

  • Stylised rocks.
  • Solar panel.
  • Dispensing machine.

Structural Elements (Required)

These are the base assets that build the playability of the scenario:

  • Decorated Modular Wall.
  • Basic floor.
  • Elevated platform.

Functional / Interactive Elements

These models play an active role in the game mechanics:

  • Door.
  • Hazzards (laser turrets).
  • Ancient PC (NPC guide).
  • Button (for a puzzle).
  • Wooden box (for a puzzle).
  • Wooden board (for a puzzle).

With these elements, a balance between aesthetics, functionality and level design is achieved. The next step will be to create more objects to fill the game environment with more and more life.
