The world of Eclipsed Gods
Today I want to share with you how the background of the loading screen that accompanies Eclipsed Gods was born. The idea came from imagining an ancient Inca temple, now covered by the scars of time.
I started by researching architectural references to the Inca culture. With that base, I made several hand sketches, looking for the composition that best balanced the weight of the ruins with the mystical atmosphere I wanted to transmit, the challenge was to integrate the Inca and Solarpunk components without breaking the coherence of the temple.
During the colour and light phase, I played with soft contrasts: the warm ochre of the stone against the electric greens of the Solarpunk technology. I constantly sought a balance between the organic and the synthetic, so that the background would invite the player to immerse themselves in a world where nature and innovation coexist in ancient ruins.
Upon completion, I felt that this background not only fulfils its function as a loading screen, but is also a small window into the universe of Eclipsed Gods: a place where history and the future meet. I hope that when you see it, you will experience that mix of nostalgia and curiosity that accompanied me during its creation. Thanks for joining me on this journey and see you in the next devlog!
